Terms of use
Written to be read rather than to be impressive, and not yet reviewed by a solicitor. If you are relying on it for something that matters, say so and it will be looked at properly.
What this is
TallClip turns a topic you type into a vertical video: a script, a voiceover, footage, captions and music, assembled into a file you can download and post.
Your account
You need an account to make videos, and you are responsible for what happens under it. One account per person. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
Credits
Work is paid for in credits. Writing a script, generating a voiceover, finding footage and rendering each cost credits, and the app shows the cost before you spend it. Credits are not money, cannot be exchanged for money, and a monthly allowance does not roll over.
If a render fails, its credits go back automatically. If you ask for AI-generated images and stock photographs are delivered instead, the difference is refunded automatically.
The videos you make
They are yours. Use them commercially, post them anywhere, keep them after you stop using this.
The footage and music come from stock libraries and public archives, and some is licensed on condition that its creator is credited. Where that is the case the app says so before rendering, marks the shot, and gives you the exact line to paste. Posting without that credit is a breach of the licence by you, not by us — which is why "no credit needed" exists and is the default.
Anything you upload
Stays yours, and stays private to your account. It is not shared with other people using the app, and it is not used to train anything. Only upload things you own or have permission to use — a picture found through a search engine is usually neither.
What not to make
Nothing unlawful. Nothing that harasses or impersonates a real person. Nothing sexual involving children, and nothing designed to deceive people about a real event, election or emergency. Accounts doing any of that are closed without a refund.
What can go wrong
Scripts are written by a language model and can be confidently wrong. Check anything factual before you post it. Footage is matched automatically and sometimes matches the wrong thing; every shot can be swapped in the editor at no cost.
The service can be unavailable, and providers it depends on can fail. Where that costs you credits, the credits come back. Beyond that, liability is limited to what you have paid in the previous month.
Ending it
Stop whenever you like. A paid plan can be cancelled at any point and runs to the end of the period already paid for. Ask and your account and its data will be deleted.
Changes
These terms will change as the product does. The date at the top says when, and anything materially affecting what you have paid for will be said in the app rather than only here.
